The lead mechanical piping engineer is responsible for coordinating the technical and administrative activities of the Piping group. Lead projects, prepare work plans and reports, and collaborate with the Owner and client Engineers on Piping design packages.

Responsibilities
Supervise Engineers and designers, assigning work, setting priorities, and providing training.Ensure quality and completeness of Engineering work.Initiate Engineering calculations and prepare work plans.Develop work packages for pipe fabrication and installation.Oversee projects with minimal supervision.Review drawings from vendors, clients, and other disciplines.Conduct field investigations to support project needs.Maintain Engineering files and records.Seal technical documents prepared under supervision.Continuously upgrade technical knowledge and capabilities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.15+ years of Piping/Mechanical Engineering experience in an industrial environment.Process PE license or ability to obtain one.Knowledge of power generation and industrial facility operations.Understanding of ASME codes and standards.Experience with Pipe Stress Analysis.Planning and scheduling experience for Piping design projects.Ability to read and understand Piping drawings and 3D plant models.Capability to conduct field investigations and define project scopes.
