Job Summary:
Leads the support and maintenance of hospital information systems and has a working knowledge of the applications for support and troubleshooting. Acts as liaison between technical support, customers and project teams in the design, healthcare information systems and any new enhanced systems. Develops, recommends, and oversees implementation of policies and procedures for areas of responsibility.

Education and Work Experience:Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: RequiredBachelor's Degree: PreferredFive years' related experience: PreferredEssential Functions:
Analyzes and documents needs of hospital and healthcare network departments and assists in the development of best practice standards. Maintains and modifies complex software utilizing established standards and departmental protocols for systems, design, coding, documentation, and distribution to meet user requests and specifications. Manages the planning and installation of automated systems. Works with end users to develop specifications for the purchase, development, and installation of software systems. Monitors progress of the plan and proposes corrective action where indicated. Utilizes appropriate planned change management models, principles and techniques in system planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.Provides ongoing support for existing computer applications and support for problem resolution. Refers issues to leadership if necessary. Implements solutions, communicates them to end users and tracks resolution. Analyzes incidents, identifying trends and major issues. Conducts routine status meetings with end users and leadership. Provides leadership support to analysts and team and to end users regarding system applications. Maintains service level agreements with various end-user departments and enterprise business units.Supports the delivery of training materials and formal/informal training. Identifies educational opportunities related to standard applications and operational use of them. Develops strategies to educate analysts and support staff with focus to achieve improved operational understanding and efficiency.Evaluates user requests for special enhancements and access to systems.Collaborates with technical teams to define hardware/network requirements and to research and problem-solve technical issues.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
