Summary:The main function of a quality technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications. Job Responsibilities: Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications. Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications. Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status. Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will: Oversee quality inspections for material and parts used in new product packaging for phone an accessory Perform required testing preparation/execution activities to ensure product quality throughout the production phases Troubleshooting and reviewing log/queues and assist in investigating of the causes of non-conforming product/process Responsible for ensuring the data is collected at each stage of the process Responsible for validating production defects related to DIT/DIP (Damage in Process/Damage in Transit Ensure quality standards are met during production, packaging and production phases Works with quality engineer and third-party packaging vendor to meet SEA quality KPIs and assist on improvement activities Conduct onsite audits, collaborate with departments and assist on implementing quality improvement Create and review detailed work instructions for inspection processes Modify work instructions as needed to response to change notifications and updates in quality requirements Skills: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Top Skills: The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources Demonstrate ability to solve problems involving highly diverse conditions requiring creativity to search for solutions Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiples levels within the company Education/Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required. 2-4 years' experience required.Compensation:The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
