Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Title: Continuous Improvement ManagerJob DescriptionThe Continuous Improvement Manager is tasked with enhancing productivity and product quality while minimizing waste across a multi-site manufacturing operation. Optimize productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures. Assemble reports to document process status and changes. Track metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades. Communicate findings and proposals to upper management. Provide thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.Lead process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve quality in flexible packaging, including printing, laminating, slitting, and finishing.Work with operators and managers to create standardized machine processes and recipes.Apply Six Sigma tools for ongoing improvement, lead Kaizen and 5S efforts.Perform root cause analysis to resolve manufacturing issues in efficiency, quality, or waste.Develop corrective actions and train operators to prevent recurring problems.Assist with the start-up and commissioning of new equipment.Provide coaching and feedback to develop others and consistently appraise performance.Hard SkillsLean six-sigma experienceAnalytical, statistical, and problem-solving skillsProficient with computer and information technologyKnowledge of process engineering software systemsSoft SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to persuade others to change existing practicesStrong attention to detailWork SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Lenexa, KS.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
