Material Handler I

Reporting Relationships This position reports directly to the Hone Shop ManagerPosition SummaryThis job description applies to all activities and guidelines for operations performed by a Material Handler I. Handle and store materials at various stages of manufacturing in accordance with work order specifications.Responsibilities Utilize safe practice. Operate forklift and side loader to move materials; loading and unloading shipments, storing and picking materials for various stages of production and stocking finished product.Perform daily safety checks of forklifts and side loaders, and log checks daily. Keep a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Store materials in an orderly manner to prevent damage and facilitate ability to count stock. Apply vendor codes to receive raw stock. Apply part number stencils to finished parts per work order specification. Assist with counting inventory. Perform tasks with moderate supervision.
