You will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and detailing customer vehicles, ensuring they meet Thompsons Auto Group's high standards of quality and appearance. Your commitment to detail and customer satisfaction will contribute to a positive experience for our customers, upholding the values of Thompsons Auto Group.Reports ToService Manager/ General Sales Manager/ Sales Manager KeyResponsibilitiesVehicle Detailing and CleaningExterior and Interior Cleaning: Wash, wax, buff, and vacuum vehicles to achieve a high level of cleanliness and shine. Clean windows, wheels, and tires, as well as treat any exterior and interior surfaces with appropriate cleaning products.Detailing: Perform detailed cleaning of both the interior and exterior, including cleaning and treating upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces, ensuring vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and ready for customer return.Inspection: Review each vehicle after cleaning to ensure no spots are missed, reporting any observed damages to the Service Manager or Service Advisor.Service Department SupportOrganize and Prepare Vehicles: Organize vehicles on the lot and prepare them for service appointments, ensuring they are clean and easily accessible for technicians and customers.Maintain Supplies: Keep detailing products, equipment, and cleaning supplies stocked and organized. Notify management when inventory needs to be replenished.Quality Control: Ensure all cleaned and detailed vehicles meet Thompsons Auto Group's standards for quality before they are returned to customers.Customer Service and TeamworkCustomer Interaction: Occasionally greet customers and assist with the vehicle handoff process, ensuring they are satisfied with the condition of their vehicle.Collaboration: Work closely with service advisors, technicians, and other service team members to ensure smooth transitions and timely vehicle preparation.QualificationsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in detailing or automotive cleaning is preferred but not required. Skills & Competencies:Strong attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness.Ability to work independently and efficiently.Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and, occasionally, customers.Flexibility to handle a variety of vehicles and tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to meet company production and quality standards.Physical Requirements:Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Expectations and Core ValuesThe Service Detailer is expected to embody Thompsons Auto Group's core values by prioritizing customer satisfaction, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
