JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a
Warehouse Material Handler
to be responsible for facilitating all warehouse transactions, including incoming and outgoing materials. Your role involves
operating forklifts and
box truck
assisting with material handling tasks, and supporting various departments within the company as required. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a positive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Safely and professionally
operate forklifts
to move materials within the warehouseLoad subcontractors' hard surface, carpet, and vinyl materials for outbound shipmentsAssist with the return of materials from subcontractors, ensuring accurate verification and storageUnload materials from vendors, verifying RFMS for bin combinationsStage orders for future shipments and maintain organized inventoryStock the supply store and prepare materials for upcoming business needsUnload pad trailers as needed to replenish inventoryLearn RFMS systems to assist with receiving, printing, and screening processesPerform housekeeping duties such as emptying trash, sweeping floors, and maintaining cleanliness in both warehouse areasOperate equipment to cut materials for various applicationsConduct cycle counts as directed and assist with year-end inventory auditsEnsure warehouse security by locking and unlocking facilities and vehiclesComplete daily and weekly forklift checklists, reporting any issues to the supervisorParticipate in updating procedures and job descriptions for the warehouse areaPromote teamwork to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently before the end of the shiftSupport internal customers and collaborate with other departments as neededSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
