Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as our Inspector on our processed cheese line.
Job duties:
Obtain proper cases for packing off product, check to assure the proper case label using the production schedule.Obtain proper individual package labels needed by using the production schedule and load label machine.Adjust labeler for proper label placement.Erect a case assuring the label is opposite the case dater print heads.Place cheese into cases, inspecting the product for quality and the package for label appearance, if applicable.Inform Triangle operator if belt stops, recheck product through the metal detector.Help with any cleaning or sanitizing of the equipment to be used during production and assist with the assembly of the equipment.Bring any supplies needed during production.Place inedible tubs where needed.Get rework tubs ready for production (sanitize and lubricate)Open rework or trim for the grinding room, if needed.Help in grinding room with the grinding or barrel hanging, if needed.Put lids on loaf line.Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion, sweep, and clean work area.Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner.Other duties as assignedWhat skills and characteristics do I need:
Must demonstrate excellent communication skillsMust be able to read and follow written instructionsMust adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, and other quality guidelinesMust report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacementMust be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
