Job Title : Account Manager
Location : Onsite in Cedar Rapids
Job Schedule : Monday-Friday (9:00 AM-6:00 PM)
Job Summary : The Account Manager provides support to customers through various channels, including in person, phone, email, and social media. They excel in effective communication, understanding customer needs, and delivering solutions promptly. Responsibilities include collecting and recording customer data, maintaining accurate interaction records, and utilizing problem-solving skills, patience, and empathy while working under pressure. The primary focus is on building and nurturing positive customer relationships, delivering quality service that exceeds expectations.
Day in the Job Preview : The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, persuading customers to assign CRST their loads, coordinating with drivers (company, independent contractors, and 3rd party) for pickup and delivery. This role entails full ownership of assigned loads and comprehensive customer communication with the customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
Create optimal front-line customer relations by working with customers and inside sales staff from specific regions of the country, ensuring continued company growth and goal achievement.Coordinate all facets of customer freight shipments: provide rate quotes occasionally, schedule service dates, book freight, answer customer calls, and provide daily track and trace of customers' shipment activities.Monitor logistics by maintaining communication with operations.Manage the departments and oversee the department's general mailbox, handling a high volume of daily emails.Assist the sales department in providing rate quotes.Perform various tasks as assigned.Job Requirements :
Successful completion of a CRST background check and drug screen is required.High school diploma or GED is required.Ideal Experience & Skillset :
Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.Experienced in transportation.Background in sales, including customer interactions and negotiation skills.Familiar with logistics and warehouse operations.Holds an AA or BA in a relevant field.Did You Know?
