Fully Remote (Must be able to attend in person hearings, depositions and trial preparation)
Job Description:Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Draft pleadings (complaints, motions, oppositions)Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motionsArgue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in CourtTake and defend percipient and expert depositionsPrepare pre-trial documents and trial materialsActive participation in trialStrategically litigate cases by obtaining key evidence to work up case fileDraft mediation briefs and attend mediation, active participation in negotiating settlementsRegular client communicationAssist in management of litigation assistants and paralegalsAttend regular trainings for professional development
Requirements:Candidate has a JD and is admitted to the California barStrong written and oral advocacy skillsHighly motivated to learn and growVery well organizedResourceful and persistentCivil litigation or personal injury experience is a plus
