The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for all aspects of the financial operations for the agency. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO provides accounting, budgetary, operational, and programmatic support to all agency programs and activities. The CFO directly oversees and supervises the financial/accounting staff and other departments as directed by the CEO. The CFO is the primary agency contact for all contractual matters, proposals for new or extended programs and new business development. The CFO serves as an active member of the Executive Management Team helping to develop and implement the agency’s vision and mission.

*Responsibilities*

*1. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:** Actively manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the agency.* Develop budgets for the agency, individual programs and new/proposed/expanded services, including the preparation of budget revisions as needed.* Prepares, analyzes, and presents monthly financial reports for the agency, its programs, and activities after reviewing with the CEO* Reports on financial results and issues to the CEO and Board of Directors.* Oversee and review the preparation of all programs financial reporting required for funding sources.* Manages the Billing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts payables functions and the integration of billing information from the Electronic Health Record system into the accounting system.* Provide day to day financial management.* Oversee the agency’s banking activities and actively manage cash flow to ensure it meets agency needs.* Manage the negotiation and execution of agency contracts for funding sources, vendors, and collaborative service providers.* Manage accounting control systems and internal audits enduring the accurate and timely production of accounting information and financial reports.* Monitor changes in legal, regulatory, and administrative environments and implement changes in procedures and needed to maintain compliance while maximizing operational and financial results.* Manage the agency’s liability insurance program, including ongoing risk analysis.* Review efficiency/effectiveness of employee benefit programs, seeking approaches to lower costs where possible and consistent with required quality levels.* Serve as the agency’s primary liaison with its independent Auditor to ensure the annual audit is completed smoothly and in a timely manner.

*Candidate Qualifications*

The ideal candidate for this role is a professional fervent about our mission of being the best-in-class provider of clinically innovative health care services in the home. In addition, this person will hold minimum 10 years of experience in home health administration/management.

*Requirements*:* Advanced experience and understanding of all aspects of progressive healthcare leadership experience, Skilled Nursing, Home Health, Hospice, Adult Day Care -with financial benchmarking, scorecard, and financial performance metrics applications-required.* Experience in grant and federal and state regulations as they relate to health care financial management.* Significant experience in fiscal and funds management; particularly in non-profit and grant accounting with minimum operating budget oversight of $50 million.* Advanced experience in financial policy & procedure design, development, and implementation.* 10+ years of progressively responsible management experience, preferable in a service based not-for-profit organization* Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills, including successfully being a champion of and leading a diverse Team through change management.* Maintains a professional leadership style and coaches, mentors and develops a fully engaged and high performing Team that aligns with the strategic vision and initiatives.* Proven successful ability to take concepts from inception to implementation.* Strong interpersonal and effective verbal/written communication skills, a superior communicator.* Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, and able to prepare strategic communications, presentations, and complex analyses and files using same.* Must be willing to travel to/from off-site meetings. Must be open to off-hour events, meetings, and board events with flexibility to attend on weekends as requested.* Experience with major reimbursement programs.* Ability to delegate and operate strategically.* Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.* Direct knowledge of and success with collections of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.* Experience managing contracts, vendors, and non-accounting functionaries.* Possesses strong hospitality and customer-centric focus, high emotional intelligence, attention to detail and an ability to work well under pressure.
