Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Developer Lead for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be seven months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ASIC Architecture Performance Modeling Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for modeling storage systems, with a focus on NVMe as the main protocol, using C/C++. You will work closely with system architects, design engineers, and verification teams to ensure that the performance requirements are met and optimized.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Develop and maintain performance models for storage systems, specifically focusing on NVMe protocol, using C/C++.Collaborate with system architects to define functional and performance requirements for storage solutions.Conduct performance analysis and trade-off studies to guide architectural decisions related to storage systems.Support design and verification teams to ensure features and performance meet architectural requirements for storage solutions.Conduct extensive data analysis and modeling to quantify performance metrics and identify bottlenecks in storage systems.Test and validate the performance models to ensure accuracy and reliability.Correlate performance models with actual RTL simulation results to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies.
Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in ASIC architecture and performance modeling, specifically for storage systems.Proficiency in C/C++ programming.Strong understanding of computer architecture and hardware design, with a focus on storage systems.Experience with performance analysis tools and methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Experience with NVMe protocol and other storage-related technologies.Knowledge of performance optimization strategy for storage systems.Familiarity with silicon development processes and methodologies.Years of Experience Required: 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering is required to be eligible for this role.Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience with architecture performance modeling and analysis in C/C++/Python, NVMe, SoC Architecture. Previous role experience in ASIC Architecture Performance Modeling EngineerPerformance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of work.Minimum 3-5 years experience with Architecture performance modeling in C/C++/PythonMinimum 3-5years experience with NVMe knowledgeMinimum 3-5years experience with Storage system and/or SoC Architecture knowledge
