The Regional Director drives the strategy and vision for Paradies Lagardère platforms aligning teams to achieve results. The Regional Director is responsible for the day to day management of all platforms within the region, including customer experience, associate engagement, operational excellence, merchandising excellence, store leadership and visual presentation. The Regional Director will work with his/her General Managers to ensure platform teams drive sales, execute against goals and further the growth of their platforms. They will assist us in continuing to deliver PR (Performance & Relationships) a differentiator for Paradies Lagardère that leads to strong results. This position serves as a point of contact for airport leaders and acts as a voice of the platforms for members of the corporate offices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a leader in the airport community. Collaborate with business partners to create and drive short and long-term strategies for the region. Drive and lead actions that deliver sales growth. Execute sales and growth strategy. Deliver expected financial results through adherence to company-mandated processes and policies. Develop future organizational leaders through coaching and the reinforcement of high business and ethical standards in the industry. Collaborate with management on the implementation of improved processes and new technologies, managing ongoing, cross-functional workflow projects, troubleshooting and deployment. Apply expert functional and critical thinking skills to resolve business challenges. Collaborate with leaders across functions to craft, integrate, and implement business plans to achieve desired best in class results. Identify and actualize enhancements to support company vision and sustainability of business results. Reinforce and coach behaviors that drive an exceptional and authentic experience for the customer and associates (First Class Service) Understand and serve the requirements of the airport relationship and DBE partners Inspire regional team to meet business objectives and goals. Ensure the team is engaged, connecting with the customer and delivering results. Model great communication, relationship building and leadership skills. Coordinate with all business partners and allocate resources to drive business and meet goals. Partner with Regional HR Manager to ensure all talent and people’s goals are achieved. Develop talent and create development plans for direct reports. Create actionable succession plans and career path strategies for team. Ensure team understands and executes merchandising vision and standards (CALM) Proactively partner with the Platform and members of the Support Center Merchandising team to ensure team is knowledgeable, has tools and can make decisions to drive their business. Ensure the regional team has the right tools to make decisions to drive their business and meet goals. Evolve productivity through best practices and continuous learning. Resolve escalated issues, review trends and strategies to drive continuous improvement Control and manage regional expenses (payroll, travel, etc.). Work with LP to ensure low shrink and LP best practices are in place Own P&L for the region. Drive gross margin dollars and profit. Analyze business performance patterns and determine needed actions. Manage budget effectively. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 10 years experience in retail operations and/or business development; aviation industry experience preferred Preferred demonstrated experience with SAP (System, Applications, Products – data processing) or strong proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems Demonstrated strong financial and business acumen Bachelor’s Degree Business Management, Sales or Marketing preferred Proven ability to positively influence and lead team members through an established trusting, inclusive and productive environment Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and teams within the organization Robust organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success Ability to coach and teach data-based decision-making, metrics, and the ongoing measure of results Excellent written and verbal communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills Entrepreneurial spirit and vision that drives sales while generating new business opportunities and increasing team efficiency and productivity.
