Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead ongoing closing, reporting and analysis activities by collaborating with Segments and Tier 2 businesses as well as Corporate
Build, improve and continue to update standard reporting and forecasting financial packages (eg. Workiva) for Tier 2, Segment and total GE Vernova financials
Partner with the Treasury and Segment cash teams to forecast Vernova cash utilization & liquidity
Conduct detailed analysis of cash flows and provide insights and recommendations to enhance cash management efficiency and optimize working capital
Develop and maintain financial models to track cash performance and facilitate decision-making; continuously monitor and analyze cash performance against forecasts to identify discrepancies and implement necessary adjustments
Support ad-hoc analysis to support management in the function and/or in GE Vernova HQ on strategic decisions
Partner with the GE Vernova FP&A Leader and GE Vernova FP&A SMO leader to define and implement standard work for the “to be” GE Vernova FP&A structure
Organize training and knowledge sharing sessions across the Vernova businesses FP&A communities related to tools and processes implemented
Lead a team of analysts supporting all cash related FP&A activities
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
OFLP, FMP, CAS, or other GE leadership program experience preferred
A minimum of 6 years of experience and progressive responsibility in FP&A, Controllership, or Cost Management
Desired Characteristics:
Strong financial analysis background with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
Strong management skills and demonstrated capability to influence
Experience leading and developing teams in a matrixed and virtual team environment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong business acumen
Ability to effectively lead in a matrixed and virtual team environment, working through the extended lean teams and cross functional teams to accomplish objective
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
Ability to work with remote and cross functional/cultural teams
The base pay range for this position is 169,500.00 - 226,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus. This posting is expected to remain open until at least December 3, 2024
