Prioritize and decide promptly on proper actions.- Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when the physician is not immediately available.- Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.- Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, including medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation.- Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and the status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.- Document specific healthcare requirements for patients and prepare written assignments to individual team members, matching the skills and abilities of staff to patient care requirements.- Plan, develop, and implement care delivery plans, and coordinate documentation of care.- Share responsibilities for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment, as well as the general upkeep of the unit, preserving a safe environment.
