The Production Worker II is responsible for all duties assigned in the Production Worker I Job Description and under general supervision, assists the department lead in the daily operations of the department.This job function directly ? PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : Be proficient with use of small hand toolsIdentify and follow procedures and work instructionsTransport product to next stages of productionUnderstand production and quality metrics and performs accordingly to meet themIdentify nonconforming productAssist as necessary in department processesKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Follow Cleaning ChecklistFollow established company policiesFollow all established health and safety policiesCommunicate with supervisors as well as other employeesEnsure that all production staff adhere to good manufacturing practices, quality policies and ISO proceduresMonitors production operations for quality and efficiency to ensure that the established goals and objectives are achievedPosition acts as back up for Unit LeadOther duties as assigned ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR PACKING AND CUTTING DEPARTMENTS: Create, track, and evaluate Metrics address deviations in performance, and propose and implement solutions for improvementEvaluate non-conformities in products, production equipment and test equipment and resolves the problems causing the non-conformitiesTrack and follows up on part shortagesTrain and cross train staff to achieve maximum flexibility during peak or off-peak periodsPerform inventory cycle countsParticipates in planning and scheduling for the department ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR MIM DEPARTMENT: Set up and operate all semi-automated equipmentPay special attention to detail and line clearanceUse small hand tools proficiently as neededPerform quality inspection and testing as requiredCross train on PW-I job duties in the PHX department. ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR EXTRUSION DEPARTMENT: ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR MOLDING DEPARTMENT: Close ordersPerform data entryLoad/Unload Annealing OvenPerform cycle counts as directedPurge machine between color changesAssist with mold setting as needed REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Machine operation experience in a production environment preferredDependability and ability to adapt to change are essentialAbility to read, write and communicate in EnglishBasic computer skills for data entry and simple manipulation SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: Individual contributor EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED preferred ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Limited temperature fluctuations, air conditioned environmentExposure to general manufacturing environmentNon-allergy to Latex PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a timeHave normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp and hold small objectsPossess a normal extended reachConsistently uses manual dexterityHave the ability to determine color acuityMust be able to transport, lift, and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 55 lbs.Pay Details: $16.25 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
