Spherion is hiring Quality Inspectors in Indianapolis, IN near Park 100!M-F 5:45am-2:15pm $20/hrResponsibilities:The Quality Assurance Clerk will ensure the quality of automotive parts within the logistics center throughthorough inspections and effective management of customer and supplier interactions. This role will focuson maintaining high-quality standards while facilitating clear communication and documentation.Quality Inspection-Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of automotive parts.-Document and report non-conformities, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.-Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations to minimize defects or process inefficienciesCustomer and Supplier interaction:-Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from customers and suppliers-Identify supplier problems and document them -Identify customer claims issues related to Carrier problems and document them -Facilitate communication regarding quality concerns, ensuring clarity and responsiveness.-Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.-Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to qualitycontrolClerk Duties:-Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, non-conformities, and corrective actions.-Prepare and distribute quality reports to internal stakeholders and external partners.-Assist in maintaining documentation for compliance with quality standards.-Maintain control system paperwork and other administrative duties as required, such as input data intocomputers and assist in multiple process.Continuous Improvement:-Identify opportunities for process improvements related to quality management.-Participate in quality audits and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.-Maintains and participates in 5S+ and Lean activities.Training and Support:-Provide training to staff on quality standards and inspection processes.-Support the quality team in developing and implementing training programs for new hires.Working hours: 5:45 AM - 2:15 PMSkills:-Knowledge of quality control systems, Quality standards, and audit techniques.-Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.-Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:-High School Diploma or GED- 1-2 years quality experience in a warehouse/distribution center or manufacturing environment-Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.-Must be able to read and write and communicateApply today or email your resume to indynorth-dl@spherion.com!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
