We are seeking an experienced
Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist
to join our highly skilled team. This role involves providing comprehensive care for patients with advanced heart failure, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of post-fellowship experience, a strong research background, and a commitment to pioneering advances in heart failure management. A subspecialty interest in cardiac amyloidosis is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
:
Deliver expert care for advanced heart failure patients, from diagnosis to long-term management, in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
Evaluate and manage patients for therapies including ventricular assist devices (VADs) and heart transplantation.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising transplant surgeons, heart failure nurses, and pharmacists to develop individualized care plans.
Lead outpatient clinics focused on advanced heart failure treatment and patient follow-up.
Participate in clinical trials and contribute to research initiatives aimed at enhancing heart failure outcomes.
Educate patients and families on treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and management of heart failure.
Qualifications
:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board-certified or board-eligible in both
Cardiology
and
Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
.
Proven expertise in managing complex heart failure and advanced therapy cases.
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
5+ years of post-fellowship experience with a demonstrated interest in academic pursuits, research, and teaching is preferred.
