Job Description Summary:
The Compensation Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of compensation programs, ensuring alignment with business goals, sales performance, and talent acquisition and retention strategies. In addition to designing competitive compensation structures, this role will be responsible for overseeing reporting, dashboarding, and analytics related to compensation effectiveness. The manager will track key metrics, analyze compensation trends, and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with leadership, HR, and sales teams are essential to ensure that compensation programs not only meet organizational needs but also support overall performance objectives.
Job Description:
Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
Develop and manage variable pay programs for the sales teams, including commission structures, bonuses, and incentive plans.
Work closely with sales leadership to design compensation plans that align with business objectives and drive sales performance.
Analyze and refine compensation structures to ensure they are competitive, market-aligned, and effective in motivating sales teams.
Partner with the HR Technology and IT team to leverage technology in the pursuit of continuously optimizing and evolving processes.
Perform regular and ad-hoc market analysis to ensure that sales compensation remains competitive and aligned with industry standards.
Ensure all compensation practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Stay updated on legislative changes and trends impacting compensation and implement necessary adjustments.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure understanding and support of compensation programs.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding compensation trends, pay-for-performance alignment, and plan effectiveness.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Develop communication strategies to ensure sales teams fully understand compensation structures and incentive plans.
Provide guidance and recommendations on compensation adjustments, promotions, and pay equity across the sales team.
Develop and maintain analytics (dashboards, actionable reporting, etc.) to monitor the effectiveness and competitiveness of total rewards programs.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of sales compensation programs, adjusting as necessary to drive results and meet organizational objectives.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation management, with experience in Sales Compensation.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Statistics, or other related field.
Basic Qualifications
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing, and job evaluation methodologies.
In-depth understanding of FLSA regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience in designing and implementing compensation reporting and analytics systems.
Extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing broad-based compensation and sales compensation programs.
Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management software.
Physical Demand Requirements
Ability to work on a personal or laptop computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to operate general office equipment (copier, scanner, telephone).
Travel Requirements (if required):
Less than 5%
Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)
Master’s degree
Previous experience within the healthcare industry

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $110,234.94-$183,732.25
