As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for customer retention and growth, generating new customers, reaching or exceeding sales budgets, product demonstrations, and training and conveying product and market information to internal departments.

In this role, you will:

Follow established guidelines for sales generation and retention. Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales goals. Maintain established customer management relations spreadsheet or CRM software. Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential private and public entities. Adjust the content of sales presentations to reflect audience. Submit quotes and sales information to internal staff for generation by referring to price lists and policies. Work with management to ensure that sales and bottom-line results are attained. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional trade associations. Represent products to customers at trade shows and conferences. Understand product and market specifications and use of specifications in the government bidding system. Monitor government bids, gather pricing information, and inform management by submitting appropriate reports. Submit timely and accurate expense reports. Operate within the approved expense budget. Provide product demonstrations in designated areas or as directed by management. Provide customer training and technical service in designated areas or as directed by management. Troubleshoot product problems and convey information to the appropriate staff. Represent products to customers and at field events. To be successful in this role, you have:

Customer service oriented experience with a proven track record of creating and maintaining good client relationships Highly motivated with a proven track record in reaching or exceeding outside sales goals Demonstrated written and verbal closing skills Territory management experience Ability to overnight travel by car within your sales territory two weeks per month for customer meetings and/demonstrations and training Ability to understand specifications and the bidding system Ability to work with "hands" in transportation work zone areas and on the road Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate professionally in a written response to emails, bids, and when submitting reports Ability to eliminate sales obstacles Proficiency in math and understanding of basic layout concepts Ability to grasp technical concepts and explain them to others Proficiency in relevant computer software: MS OfficeAble to work with minimal supervision within a team environment Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds, use hands/fingers, stand, reach, walk, bend, sit, squat, kneel, and ability to successfully perform all job functions throughout the shift
