Rates Caps for Submission: Malpractice - Must be included in rates. Orientation - half the hourly/callback rate*** kicks in after 8 hours. Schedule/Availability Requirements: 12/31 1/1 1/3 - 1/5 1/11 - 1/13 1/18 - 1/20 1/26 - 1/31 January shifts: 16 2/1 - 2/3 2/11-2/15 2/23 - 2/28 February shifts: 14 PM shift (3 p.m. to 1 a.m.) Facility Location: Mercy Medical Center Redding Setting: Level II Trauma Center Duties: Required Procedures: Low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). High risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement. EMR: Cerner Care B Support Staff: There will be one other Trauma NP/PA who works day shift (7a-5p). Reason for Coverage: Deal breakers (do not present this):

Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility: Surgical Assist is NOT part of the job, Trauma APPs and Neuro-Trauma do not provide surgical assists to Surgeons, but the locum candidate can choose to apply for surgical assist privileges if they qualify!

Details: -NP or PA - Trauma/Critical Care experience. - qualified to manage pediatric trauma patients (pediatric trauma volume is low but experience is required for this assignment) -Trauma Level/Designation: Level II Trauma Center -Average Number of ICU Patients per Provider per day: 20-25 patients, daily patient census on Trauma Service. -Other Details of Role: (anything else Provider should consider or that should be asked prior to presenting): Few to zero pediatric patients on service How many other support staff members are there?: There will be one other Trauma NP/PA who works day shift (7a-5p). Which brings me to an update - We now need 2 trauma APPs, So our Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Coordinator will be choosing two from the candidates for this job posting. How many physicians will the locum be supporting? They will be supporting the one trauma surgeon on call and responsible for monitoring, managing, and discharging all of the patients on the trauma service.
