PRIMARY FUNCTION
StraitSys, Inc. has an opening for a Jr. Cyber Analyst. This position supports the US Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC) Test Technology Support Services (TTSS) contract at Fort Cavazos, Texas. Jr. Cyber Analyst will research, develop, implement, test, and review information security to protect information and prevent unauthorized access to information systems. This position provides an environment of continuous learning to expand an individuals' cybersecurity knowledge set.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Research, develop, implement, test and review information security in order to protect information and prevent unauthorized access.Inform users about security measures and explain potential threats.Implement security measures and monitor networks.Must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues.Must be proficient in applying Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and or Security Requirements Guide (SRG) checklist to various devices within an Information SystemMust be able to assess, mediate, and or remediate identified vulnerabilities from STIGs/SRGsAssist in the maintainability of a Continuous Monitoring Strategy and Program to maintain information system networks for operational testingThis position requires teamwork and diligent effort.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Have excellent communications, teamwork, leadership and conflict management skills.Knowledge of computer applications software.Can identify and communicate risks and provide mitigation strategies.Ability to enter data accurately into databases.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.Ability to use general office equipment such as phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.Ability to follow a process.Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.Must be able to communicate issues to management.Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.Ability to multi-task.QUALIFICATIONS:
Security + certifiedeMASS experienceOne (1) year of demonstrated experience in Cybersecurity applications and techniques.Experience and or knowledge in the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its associated eighteen (18) families of controlsTwo (2) years of demonstrated experience in intrusion analysis and incident response.Three (3) years of demonstrated experience with TCP/IP fundamentals, Windows and Linux/UNIX (RedHat), CISCO switches/routers, operating systems and supporting Office applications.Bachelor's degree in an area such as computer science, information assurance, programming, or information science is preferred.Must be a US CitizenMust possess and maintain a current Secret ClearanceMust fluently speak, read, understand, and write the English languageAbility to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
