Team Lead - Inventory Control

The starting pay for this role is $21/hourly. This position is an onsite position located in Indianapolis, IN. Freshrealm is looking for a Inventory Control Team Lead that will be responsible for managing inventory, executing order and fulfillment activities within a fast-paced production plant within Freshrealm's operations team. The position is responsible for providing employee direction and assisting supervisors in controlling and executing all processes within assigned areas. Ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of company specifications. Follows all health and safety standards and enforces the use of PPE's.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory management responsibilitiesExecution of fulfillment activities including receiving, putting away, picking, and shipping.Achieve key metrics across inventory and fulfillmentMaintain real-time and accurate inventory records and visibilityMaintain and communicate inventory metrics on a weekly and monthly basisControls daily operations and monitors workflow within assigned areasConducts investigation of discrepancies and inconsistencies in distribution processesAssists with identifying departmental process improvementsResponsible for reporting daily performance metrics on employeesResponsible for accuracy within processesResponsible for employee training within assigned areas to include training and reviewing SOP'sEnsures safety and security processes are followedEnsures all distribution related documentation is maintained in an orderly and accessible mannerMay be required to step in and assist with warehouse, forklift or clerk duties Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructionsResponsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOPMust follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnessesMay be required to perform other duties as assignedMay be required to train new hires on various warehouse functionsNotify leadership of shortages or other problems that could impact product availabilityReceive inbound productShip outbound productAudit inbound & outbound movements for accuracyOther duties as assignedQualifications
Skills and Requirements
Basic math skills required (counting, multiplication, conversions, fractions)Practical experience with ERP software required (SAP experience a plus)Demonstrated skills with industrial powered equipment required. Certification for equipment as required based on facility needs (for example, forklift, scissor lift, electric pallet jack, reach truck, etc.Ability to work flexible hours on occasion to support all shifts which may include weekendsAbility to tolerate short periods of exposure to freezer temperaturesPrevious experience within a logistics and inventory warehouse environmentPrevious experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) is a plusMust be extremely detail oriented and organized while working in a fast-paced environmentMust have good analytical skills and ability to follow multi-step instructionsExcellent customer service and troubleshooting abilityExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong computer skills, including Microsoft ExcelExperience / Education
High School Degree / GED preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience in inventory and receiving, management experience preferred.Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and creative thinking skillsExperience with warehouse (WMS), operations (OMS), and enterprise (ERP) management systems and processes a plusMust be 18 or older to apply as required for machinery and/or equipment utilizationWhat We Offer
