Position Summary

The Financial Reporting Manager will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and will have primary responsibility for all external financial reports, including annual audited and interim unaudited financial statements for the consolidated company and various operating subsidiaries for third party compliance reporting requirements. The role will assist the CAO in enhancing, standardizing and streamlining the company's financial reporting processes.

The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing the financial reporting calendar to ensure compliance with reporting deadlines, implementing/refining policies, processes and controls, monitoring standard setting activities of the FASB, drafting annual reports and quarterly reporting packages, annual disclosures checklists, and calculations associated with complex accounting or disclosure requirements, e.g., lease accounting, debt modifications, share-based compensation, and cash flow statements. The Financial Reporting Manager prepares and/or reviews supporting documentation for financial statements, related footnotes and MD&A disclosures in management and/or Board reports; reviews, ties out, and maintains support for annual and quarterly financial statements and schedules included in financial reports, shareholder / Board materials, and other presentations; and performs technical research and writes memos on the company's accounting positions.

Position ResponsibilitiesLead the drafting and preparation of required external financial statements (annual audited and interim unaudited) in accordance with U.S. GAAP to meet reporting deadlines.Manage financial reporting functions, including bank and other third-party compliance reporting.Responsible for the preparation and dissemination of timely and accurate internal financial reporting packages, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, as well as analyses of key measures.Maintain a well-organized and structured financial disclosures system.Maintain efficient and effective financial reporting controls and business processes.Review or prepare various quarterly and year-end audit schedules.Prepare or review the company's cash flow statements, lease accounting entries, stock-based compensation calculations and related disclosures.Review quarterly debt covenant compliance calculations and certifications.Research and resolve technical accounting and business issues.Reviews schedules and analysis prepared by the Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting.Performs desk reviews of significant, non-recurring transactions for compliance with company accounting policies.Review presentations of financial statement data to senior management, the Board of Directors, or external parties for consistency with historical financial reports.Manage and document controls and procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance with company policies and GAAP.Develop and implement improvements to internal controls to remediate deficiencies, improve processes, and financial reporting; provide proposals to the CAO for review and approval.Responsible for monitoring proposed and final accounting rules / U.S. GAAP, assessing the impact, and developing implementation plans, as appropriate.Provides technical guidance and liaison with accounting department on matters involving significant judgment or complex application of U.S. GAAP, as directed by the CAO, including the preparation of technical accounting memos.Aid in establishing and implementing policies and procedures for the accounting department, including related training and communication, and implementing accounting software.Works with the accounting department and the company's external auditor to ensure timely execution of annual audits and any required interim financial statement reviews.Consults with other departments' management responsible for policy or action that may have an accounting consequence.Perform or lead special projects as assigned by the Chief Accounting Officer.Recruit, manage and develop additional team members, as needed.Act within the scope of authority and consistent with company and corporate objectives, guidelines, policies and practices.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is minimum requirement.CPA designation is required.10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Strong technical accounting and analytical skills with ability to research and resolve complex accounting issues.Experienced with consolidations, accounting, and reporting in a multi-legal entity organization.Advanced knowledge of accounting methods, GAAP, procedures and principles, and experience complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience communicating complex accounting and reporting interpretations.Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet strict deadlines.Ability to improve processes and establish policies and procedures.Significant working knowledge of various enterprise financial systems and financial reporting tools.Advanced Microsoft Office experience, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain composure in highly stressful situations and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies - tactful, mature and professional.US work authorization is a precondition of employment. Both public and private company industry experience; 3+ years of managerial experience.Prior Big-4 public accounting audit experience for both public and private company clients.Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Financials, OneStream, DFIN's ActiveDisclosure, and/or Workiva's Wdesk is a plus.Analytical, with strong orientation to detail and high degree of accuracy yet can look at the big picture and assess business impacts when making recommendations.Ability to establish credibility and be decisive while supporting the company's preferences and strategic priorities.A team leader who will create a culture of accountability to help deliver on expectations in a consistent, accurate and timely manner.Ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.A team builder who can assess existing capabilities and have the discernment to identify gaps; a great eye for talent and the ability to attract, recruit, and retain high quality talent.Prior experience with ERP systems implementation projects is a plus.
