IBX offers a wide range of spending accounts through a third-party vendor, Alegeus, including Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), Medical Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Limited Purpose Medical Flexible Spending Accounts (LFSA), Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (DCA), Lifestyle Accounts (LSA), Parking (PKG), and Transit (TRA). The
Spending Account Business Analyst
will serve as a subject matter expert within the operations end to end business process. Working with both external (Alegeus) and internal (Product Management, Client Setup, Sales, Enrollment, DART) business partners across the organization in support of operationalizing processes and ensuring member accounts are updated accordingly. With Alegeus, there is significant integration and data feeds driven by other systems, including client configuration, enrollment, and claims systems. Given the complexity and volume of interactions, there is ongoing daily fallout that, after review, can require updates to upstream and/or downstream systems.
Responsibilities
Ensures Spending Account procedures align leveraging broader corporate processes. Actively seek out ways to streamline spending account activitiesEnsuring desk level procedures and job aids are created, maintained, and adhered to.Ensures appropriate audits and controls are in place for operational business processes.Works with business partners to establish file feeds for external submitters for notional spending account elections. Inclusive of collaboration with Sales, external client and EIM. Assisting with establishing FTP setup and credentials.Ensures contributions received are updated timely and accurately in the Alegeus system.Oversight of enrollment file feeds for HSA/HRA auto and member elected options.Oversight, analysis and resolution of fallout/discrepancy transactions; including appropriate triage to Client Setup for account setup needs, transactions to Enrollment that require manual enrollment updates in CSF/CFI/Alegeus or claims retriggers.Additional responsibilities and duties as dictated by business needs and department leadership.Bachelor's degree in business administration or healthcare administration.In lieu of a degree, 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations, experience working with spending accounts (e.g., HSA, HRA, FSA, commuter), and an understanding of their complexities are preferred but not required.Analytical mindset, problem solver, eagerness to learn, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable, and collaborativeExperience working cross-functionally, managing dataflows and reports.Ability to interact with various levels of management.Strong communication and presentation skills.
Hybrid of Choice:
Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
