Summary:
The Project Manager will advise with key SRR program tenants of cost, performance, and schedule during acquisition upgrades. The Project Manager will assist USCG managers with program/project execution to include, but not limited to, technical feasibility, planning, development, prototyping, testing, validation, certification, sustainment, and delivery issues pertaining to SRR aircraft.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Provide recommendations, planning strategy, and assist with project status and projections for SRR upgrade programs.Determine the appropriate tasks and subtasks to be accomplished by the Contractor workforce.Develop and maintain a repository of documents that accurately record all SRR development program activities, milestones, decision points, and corresponding rationale.Will research and prepare written reports on subjects to include but not limited to, aircraft modification schedules, logistics support, aircraft reliability centered maintenance, support task orders, and depot level maintenance.The Project Manager will develop schedules, workflows, budgets, and material procurement plans.Participate in an advisory role in planning/progress meetings, and technical reviews.Provide daily oversight of all Contractor personnel.Will liaison with the COR for all performance issues, contract issues, and scope definitions.Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Shall be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, and know how to use these tools for communication and suitable presentations of research results and recommendations.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building successful partnerships with business and technical groups.Self-starter with ability to perform and lead work independently.Structured problem solving.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in project management or a certification as a Project Management Professional. Six (6) years of relevant project management experience may substitute the requirement for a bachelor's degree.Shall have ten (10) years of relevant USCG or DOD project management experience in the areas of technical feasibility, planning, development, prototyping, testing, validation, certification, and sustainment of aviation systems. Relevant experience shall be identified as experience obtained within fifteen (15) years of award date. A master's degree in project management will substitute for two (2) years of project management experience.Shall possess a SECRET security clearance at time of award and must maintain the SECRET security clearance for the life of the contract.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aviation engineering or aviation project management is desired.Experience or training in Aviation Safety is preferred.
