Position Summary:
The Subrogation Recovery Representative is responsible for reviewing claim files to identify, evaluate, analyze, and interpret subrogation potential. This position involves coordinating appropriate steps to secure evidence and ensure pursuit, development, and recovery of claims in a timely and cost- effective manner. This position necessitates strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct Subrogation investigation on claims with limited complexity, utilizing investigative tools, based on claims guidelines and procedures established by the department.Develop a comprehensive strategy to come to resolution efficiently and accurately for subrogation recovery.Examine all provisions, endorsements of the claim policy and other records to verify applicable insurance coverage.Read, understand, and apply policy forms and endorsements, property damage estimates, expert reports.Thoroughly document the progression of each claim, ensuring an accurate and organized record.Monitors claims to ensure subrogation funds were received and/or properly processed and recorded in the claims system.Coordinate appropriate steps to secure evidence and ensure pursuit, development, and recovery of claims in a timely and cost-effective manner.Performs other duties as assigned.Position Qualifications:
A High school diploma or equivalent is required.Prior collection experience preferred.Initiative, sound judgement, and discretionProficiency in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Suites products and web-based applications.Time management skills ensuring deadlines are met for claim resolution.Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills to evaluate claim information, assess damages and create action plans to make informed decisions regarding claim handling.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.Excellent customer service skills.Sponsorship is not accepted for this opportunity.This is an onsite position with occasional work from home opportunities out of our Birmingham, AL or Dallas, Texas office.
