We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. What will you be doing?
Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Own accounting and process documentation for areas that may include cash, fixed assets, prepaids, and month-end accruals. Prepare monthly flux analysis for management review. Manage our spend management platform for AP, credit cards, and reimbursements. Support the annual audit process by providing any necessary documentation and reports. Maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations. Establish effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting. Drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility. Assist with system implementations on our near term roadmap to uplevel our accounting tech stack. What skills & experience do you need?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance Strong understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP. CPA or working towards CPA designation is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus points if you:
Have experience in software/SAAS industry. Have worked with NetSuite.
