About Our Client
The client is a market leading company in the anaerobic digestion and renewable enegy space. The company partners with food and beverage manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and other producers of organic waste to acquire and transform waste into renewable energy, using anaerobic digestion. Based in the Northeast, the company has recently expanded their commercial and operational teams across the US and are hiring Territory Managers in multiple locations. Our firm has placed 8 Territory Managers with this company since December of 2023.
Job Description
Lead the sales process for renewable energy solutions, particularly anaerobic digestion systems, within the assigned territory. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across a variety of sectors including agriculture, waste management, municipalities, and commercial industries. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key decision-makers, and partners. Conduct presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to potential clients to showcase the benefits and ROI of anaerobic digestion systems and renewable energy technologies. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the regional market, including trends, competition, and customer needs, to effectively position the company's solutions. Track market developments, customer feedback, and industry changes to inform strategic planning. Develop a sales pipeline and forecast revenue targets for the territory. Manage territory-specific marketing and outreach efforts to drive awareness and demand for renewable energy and anaerobic digestion products and services. Collaborate with project management teams to ensure smooth project delivery from initial concept through installation and ongoing support. Ensure technical feasibility of customer projects, addressing any issues related to system design, installation, or performance. Oversee post-installation customer satisfaction and system optimization to ensure long-term success and client retention. Provide technical and consultative support to customers, helping them understand the economic and environmental benefits of renewable energy, waste-to-energy, and anaerobic digestion technologies. Educate clients on regulatory requirements, financial incentives, and sustainability goals related to renewable energy adoption. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and marketing, to deliver integrated solutions to clients. Regularly report on sales activities, progress toward targets, market trends, and customer feedback to senior leadership. Attend and represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field. Certifications or additional training in renewable energy or anaerobic digestion technologies is a plus. Minimum of 3-5 years of sales or business development experience in renewable energy, waste-to-energy, or waste management industries. Prior experience with anaerobic digestion technologies or waste management solutions is highly preferred. Experience in waste management required. Proven success in managing sales territories, meeting targets, and building long-term relationships with clients. Strong technical acumen in renewable energy systems, particularly anaerobic digestion, biogas, or waste-to-energy technologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers. Ability to manage complex sales cycles, negotiate contracts, and deliver customer-centric solutions. Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools. Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Ability to travel within the assigned territory (Orlando and surrounding regions) as needed. A passion for sustainability and renewable energy is essential. What's on Offer
