We are searching for a motivated & experienced Procurement Specialist
The Procurement Specialist will support the development and implementation of effective procurement strategies to meet the Company's needs. This role involves coordinating with vendors to secure materials, supplies, equipment, and services at competitive prices while ensuring quality standards are met. The Procurement Specialist will assist in vendor negotiations, build productive relationships with suppliers, and collaborate with internal teams to fulfill procurement requirements efficiently.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: include the followingSupport the development and implementation of purchasing policies in line with company standards and compliance requirements.Assist in vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service agreements.Identify and assess new suppliers to help maintain competitive sourcing options and reduce risks.Evaluate vendor bids, assist in selection, and support contract management.Monitor inventory levels and collaborate to streamline procurement processes, minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure purchasing aligns with production and operational needs.Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and assist with improvement plans when necessary.Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulations that impact procurement activities.Address purchasing-related issues or disputes promptly, ensuring resolutions align with company policies.Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and improvements in procurement practices.Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned to support the procurement function.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience in a food manufacturing environment, with knowledge of perishable goods procurement preferred.Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards.Skills:
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strategic supplier relationships.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in inventory management systems and procurement software.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.Reasoning Ability:
Sound judgment and decision-making skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands effectively.Capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and make informed choices under pressure.What can Europastry offer to you?
