JOB SUMMARY:
The
Junior Network Administrator
will be responsible for supporting the IT Team in managing and maintaining the network infrastructure for our NBA team. Reporting to the 'Director of Wireless Infrastructure', this role involves working with cutting-edge technology to ensure seamless communication, data transfer, and network security for both game-day operations and daily business operations.
This position will work
ONSITE
at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland, OH, with occasional support needed at Parma and Independence facilities.This position requires working nights, weekends and occasional Holidays.This position requires on-call availability during select weeks.Local candidates preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Network Management and Maintenance:
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Implement and maintain network security measures to protect sensitive team data.
Game-Day Operations:
Ensure reliable network connectivity during games for various systems including scoreboard, replay, and broadcasting equipment.Provide on-site technical support during home games and events.Collaborate with the audiovisual team to maintain seamless integration between network and AV systems.Fast-paced environment with potential for high-pressure situations during live games and events.
Team and Staff Support:
Assist in setting up and maintaining secure remote access for basketball operations staff.Provide technical support for team communication tools and collaboration platforms.Manage and maintain network-attached storage systems for team video analysis and scouting reports.
Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation.Prepare regular reports on network performance, security, and improvement recommendations.Document all network-related procedures and troubleshooting steps.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is a plus.Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+ are a plus.Seeking candidates with
2-4 years of relevant work experience .Must have experienceworking with Cisco networking equipment and IOS.Must have a strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices.Must have experience working with wireless networking technologies.Seeking experience working in a fast-paced environment under high-pressure situations.Experience working in the Entertainment industry is a plus.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and occasional Holidays to support games and events is required.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
