Overall responsibility:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst Consultant with a strong background in the lending industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage their analytical expertise to provide actionable insights that drive credit union business decisions, improve lending processes, and enhance customer experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze lending data, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to lending operations. Utilize statistical methods to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.Reporting: Develop and maintain reports that provide key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lending metrics, risk assessment, and customer behavior.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance lending processes through data-driven recommendations, streamlining operations, and reducing costs.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.Compliance & Risk Assessment: Ensure that data analyses comply with industry regulations and assist in the development of risk assessment frameworks.Market Research: Conduct market research to identify lending trends and competitor analysis, providing insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.Documentation & Presentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation of analyses and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise mannerRequirements
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience. Or High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of six (6) years of experience in the field.
Company / Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in a technology field is a must. Prior experience in banking, credit union or financial services industries is strongly preferred. Experience with data warehouse solutions is also preferred.
Other Experience:
Experience in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., Alteryx, Python, Regex, SQK, Excel, Word) and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Strong understanding of lending products, risk management, and credit analysis.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing lending practices.Experience with Alteryx for data preparation, blending, analytics, and automationExperience in a credit union lending environment.Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and analytics.
