Job Description

Accountant Responsibilities:

Assist the Division Controller in the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.Ensure accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely submission to management and corporate headquarters.Establish and maintain effective internal control processes to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with company policies, and prevent fraud. Conduct periodic internal audits as necessary.Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - GAAP), and corporate policies.Reconcile inventory accounts between the general ledger and physical counts.Prepare and present inventory-related financial reports to senior management, including analysis of inventory turnover, gross margins, and other key metrics.Collaborate with the purchasing, operations, and sales teams to ensure inventory levels are properly managed and aligned with financial records.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA strongly preferred3+ years of experience in AccountingManufacturing, distribution, or related industry experience preferredCost/Inventory experience a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong Microsoft Excel knowledgeKnowledge of GAAPSAP system experience preferredWhat's on Offer
