As we work to expand our internal team, Fishbowl is looking for individuals who are highly collaborative, carry diverse skill sets, love problem solving, and understand the value of working on a high-performing, goal-oriented team. Our HQ offices are based in Orem, UT, but this role is hybrid. There is no fully remote option, but you may work remote 25% as some customer-facting travel may be expected. As a team, we focus on results; not on where those results are achieved. May it be at the office, on a beach, or in the comfort of your own home.
THE ROLE
This role in the Fishbowl product organization is responsible for driving the product strategy and vision, capturing the voice of the customer, and facilitating the delivery of capabilities that address significant market opportunities and deliver value to the business in a timely manner. You coordinate with the Chief Product Officer in overseeing products, building excellence in all associated functions, and work directly with the engineering team to deliver best in class products. You identify opportunities in the broader marketplace, assess market competition and you set the standard and pace for your team and the stakeholder teams with whom you work. You evaluate build vs. buy options and are a key partner to the CPO in the direction of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Product to lead our product management team in delivering innovative Inventory Management and Manufacturing Software solutions. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of product management experience, with a deep understanding of SaaS, Cloud products, and a strong preference for experience in inventory management, warehousing, or manufacturing software. This role is critical in driving the evolution of our product suite.
Key Responsibilities:Product Strategy & Vision:Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy aligned with company goals.Define the product vision and roadmap, ensuring it meets market needs and aligns with overall business objectives.Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product development.Leadership & Team Management:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product management team.Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture within the product team.Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure product success.Product Lifecycle Management:Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and through continuous improvement phases.Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market demand, and business priorities.Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.Customer-Centric Approach:Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring that product development is customer-focused.Regularly engage with customers to gather insights and feedback, translating them into actionable product improvements.Financial & Performance Management:Manage the product budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform strategic decisions.Qualifications:
Experience:10+ years of product management experience, experience with on-prem/desktop installed software and Cloud SaaS productsProven track record of leading product teams, driving the successful delivery of software products, and challenging the status quoExperience leading and/or practicing UX Design is highly preferredExperience with inventory, warehousing, or manufacturing software is highly preferredSkills:Strong strategic thinking, the ability to drive market segmentation, and experience translating insight into actionable product strategies to achieve business outcomesExcellent leadership and team management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talentStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and teach prioritization - value/impact validationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
