System One is currently searching for an Industrial Painter for an industry-leading client in the Cranberry Township, PA area.

Industrial PainterPrepares metal surfaces, masks and paints metal parts such as pipe, small tanks, structural steel and other items for production line machinery from a paint booth. Touches up paint on products located throughout the plant as needed.
Essential Functions Duties include preparation for paint, including sanding, grinding, masking, and staging of components based on production need.Review of work with supervisor prior to beginning preparation steps.Complete all paint preparation processes according to manufacturing specifications.Mix and apply paint or other coatings using conventional air spraying equipment.Inspect paint finish to ensure adherence to quality standards. Make repairs as needed.Use a brush to coat areas as necessary.Contribute to maintaining acceptable cost per paint labor hour.Tag components with Project or drawing number once they are completed.Notify manager of supply or PPE needs.Follow all safety and local environmental regulations.Industrial painting experience preferred.Attention to detail and maximizing throughput are important.
Shows consistent acceptable quality of work on every job or installation.
Qualifications Must be able to prepare paints, thinners, dryers, etc. and clean/maintain spray painting equipment.Experience with gloss and flat paints, enamel or polyurethane applications and body repair (body putty application).Knowledge of manufacturing repair/refinishing processes.Ability to use selected vendor materials and general supplies efficiently and cost effectively.Must be efficient with the ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment.Maintain housekeeping in designated sections of plant.Ensure a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment.
