General Statement of Duties: Assist the BSA Officer and the BSA Management team with all BSA and AML functions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:Review and analyze monthly Alerts/Cases flagged as potentially suspicious.Analyze OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) alerts.Investigate and draft Suspicious Activity Reports.Conduct due diligence searches in various third-party and internal databases.Assist with compliance of USA PATRIOT Act requirements relating to certain of the Bank's business units.Assist with identifying, assessing and reviewing high/medium risk accounts.Monitor and review Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).Apply strong analytical skills in the assessment of KYC and BSA data.Maintain technical proficiency in monitoring systems under the control of the department.May be called upon to conduct user acceptance testing of all software releases under the control of the department.Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Perform additional accountabilities asMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, or comparable education and/or experience required.Requires knowledge of regulatory obligations under the Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN, OFAC and experience with SAR's from a banking perspective.Branch or Operations experience a plus.1 to 2 years' experience in the AML/BSA and or Fraud department preferred.CAMS certification a plus.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires discretion to handle confidential and sensitive material.Strong interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written skills required.Must be able to work with all levels of management and staff.Requires proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet based applications.Pay Range: $52,000 - $58,000
Hours: 37.50
This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime if the hours worked are over 40 hours.
The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law.
