We are seeking an experienced
Enterprise Architect
that will focus on the finance, accounting, operations, risk, and compliance domains. As an
Enterprise Architect
you will embrace Zions digital banking vision and contribute your leadership to achieve that vision. You will be a catalyst for change, an advocate for the enterprise, and have a direct impact on Zions Bancorporation.
The Enterprise Architecture and Strategy organization is at the heart of innovation at Zions Bancorporation. We continually modernize on many of Zions' key banking applications/system and its banking core. In addition to application development, we manage the key platforms, services, and processes which enable modernizing engineering and IT operations and delivery through DevSecOps and Agile/Lean principles. The
Enterprise Architect
will:
Build and maintain relationships with key business and technology partnersProvide technical leadership on strategic enterprise initiatives to guide implementationsCreate new business insight and perspective, clarify and illuminate strategic goals and strategies, guide strategy implementation, analyze business capabilities and identify synergistic opportunitiesUnderstand business objectives, research potential strategies, architect and design solutionsParticipate in business and technology strategic planning processes and guide business capability and technical capability initiative roadmapsEstablish future-state enterprise-centric IT architectures that consider business, information, application, infrastructure and security perspectives and manage current state architectures in addressing technical debt to an acceptable levelAdvocate for simple, standard, centralized and automated solutions to business needs based on Zions guiding philosophy and architecture guardrailsMature the Enterprise Architecture practice horizontally across banking domains and across our core banking and deposit systemsChampion and drive M&A activities and guide affiliate migration to core and centralized systems as they are warrantedStay current on technologies, technology trends and directions, and best practicesQualifications:
Proven track record of influencing change and leading strategic enterprise IT initiatives to achieve well-defined business objectivesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 6+ years of enterprise architecture or IT leadership in a highly regulated environment. A combination of education & experience may meet requirements.Deep hands-on technical expertise in multiple technical domainsAbility to listen for understanding, resolve conflicts, negotiate compromise, and collaboratively lead business leaders and project teams to optimal solutions.Understanding of information architecture concepts that enable well-integrated transactional, analytical, and collaborative systemsAbility to cultivate a shared strategic vision, articulate clear business objectives, and align the organization to achieve themDemonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication.Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and technical experts at all organizational levels.Experience with core banking systems such as TCS BaNCS, FIS, Fiserv, and ACI Worldwide is a plusUnderstanding of Agile methodology is a plusBanking or other Financial Services experience is a plusBIAN and TOGAF experience is a plusStrong understanding of SOX Controls/Reporting including Risk Management is a plus Frameworks (SOC, RCSA and FFIEC Controls), and Fraud Disclosures is a plusExposure to Cloud Based management and operations is key as Zions moves towards a Cloud Native/Cloud-Based journey to become 'Digital to the Core' is a plusLocation:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company's primary technology and operations center. This modern and environmentally friendly technology center enables Zions to compete for the best technology talent in the state while providing team members with an exceptional work environment with features such as:
