A law firm seeks an experienced Patent & Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join their team in New York, NY. This role offers flexibility with remote or hybrid work options. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on patent law. A technical background in engineering, computer science, physics, or similar fields is preferred, but not required. The candidate should have a strong ability to manage multiple projects, possess excellent writing and analytical skills, and demonstrate a proactive, self-starting approach to their work. Prior experience in various aspects of intellectual property litigation, including patent infringement, is essential.Duties:Assist in the development of strategies for patent infringement litigation.Conduct discovery and prepare infringement and invalidity contentions.Manage claim construction and Markman proceedings.Participate in depositions, preparing technical and damages expert witness reports.Support trial preparation, including organizing case files and preparing witnesses.Handle intellectual property litigation matters in patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secrets.Collaborate with internal teams to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.Contribute to the firm’s practice by working on various aspects of technology-related business litigation.Requirements:3-7 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, primarily patent law.A technical background (engineering, computer science, physics) is strongly preferred.Admission before the USPTO is preferred, but not required.Experience with patent infringement litigation, including strategy development, discovery, and contentions.Strong writing and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience in other intellectual property matters (e.g., copyright, trademark, trade secrets) is a plus.Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Education:J.D. from an accredited law school.A technical undergraduate or graduate degree (engineering, computer science, physics, etc.) is preferred, but not required.Certifications:Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred.Admission to the state bar.Skills:Expertise in intellectual property litigation, particularly patent law.Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to develop litigation strategies and manage discovery processes.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.Experience in handling depositions, expert witness reports, and trial preparation.Opportunities for professional development in intellectual property and technology litigation.Flexibility in work location (remote or hybrid options available).Company Info:BCG Attorney Search125 Park Avenue, 25th floorNew York, NY, 10017Phone:
