safety/ergonomic professional , working as an operational risk control consultant to Aon clients. This position may be based in Greater New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, Houston, Dallas or Miami offices, but with potential client responsibilities throughout the United States.Work Style:
Virtual - work from home. Best if near any of our Aon offices and close to an international airport.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Completing diagnostic loss analyses and qualitative reviews to identify trends and financial improvement impact for our clients.Conducting desk based and on-site risk assessments and safety training via client interface with a focus on operational improvement and financial exposure mitigation.Developing and implementing risk management and injury prevention strategies and supporting some portions of the tactical plans to control risk related costs.Preparing Statements of Work and/or proposals articulating service plans and deliverable work product.Using project management skills to assure goals and objectives are appropriate and aligned with services delivered to exceed client expectations.Delivering onsite visit and project reports summarizing services delivered and measurable results achieved.Working collaboratively with teams including casualty claims staff to execute initiatives for post-accident mitigation strategies.Supporting business development by rapidly gaining an understanding of client needs and articulating strategies to control operational accident exposures and costs.Assisting clients in achieving compliance with regulatory programs including OSHA, DOT, etc.Areas of focus include: Workers' Compensation/Occupational Safety, Ergonomics, Fleet/Driver Safety, General and Product Liability.SKILLS REQUIRED:Technical skills in addressing occupational safety, fleet controls and general liability exposures.Proficiency in computer applications and data management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office).Project management experience with understanding and application of pre and post loss management consulting.Ability to interpret a variety of data to create client-facing strategic and tactical improvement plans.Capacity to evaluate complex circumstances and adapt as situations evolve.Capacity to work effectively on multiple tasks with minimal supervision and meet expected deadlines.Demonstration of exceptional writing and presentation skills.Experience in articulating project scope and value proposition for business development tasks.Multiple industry experience - manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, service and/or wholesale and distribution.Professional certifications (e.g. Certified Safety Professional) a plus.TRAVEL:
Approximately 35% overnight travel.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Safely operate a motor vehicle.Travel by commercial air and other public transportation as needed.Ascend and descend stairs.Lift and carry up to 30 pounds for short durations.Stand and walk for extended periods in industrial or construction settings.Don and wear basic Personal Protective Equipment required in the work environment.MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science/Art or Master Level in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering or related technical major.MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
