Newtown Square, PennsylvaniaAbout the RoleThe CoE NA Maintenance Optimization team focuses on the top Max-Attention customers providing them conceptual and architectural guidance, typically during IT Transformation.As a Senior Engineer, your area of responsibility will include at least one of the following areas:Transition Planning:
Deliver SAP S/4HANA Migration Planning and Upgrade planning services to define a transition planDeliver downtime minimization strategy workshops focusing on defining a strategy for business continuity for planned and unplanned eventsImplementation Support:
Lead project-based engagements for premium engagement customers focusing on downtime minimizationDeliver planning services helping customers to define the right implementation strategy for SAP S/4HANA On-Premise, Private Cloud Edition or in different HyperscalersLead assessment services assisting customers in identifying the potential critical issues and optimizing the process during the implementation projects of various different SAP products maintenance eventsLead the go-live support services during the cutover duration and also the hypercare to ensure the successful go-live of customers transitioning to SAP S/4HANA or other SAP products maintenance eventsAs part of a global team, you will be working closely with SAP Development and the global SAP Support Centres to support strategic customer initiatives. Business travel will be an essential part of this role.Summary & Role RequirementsMinimum 7 years experience:As a Senior Consultant, we will look forward to the following technical skills:Experience in understanding the results of SAP Readiness Check and be able to explain the results to customersThorough understanding of the conversion to SAP S/4HANA, preparation activities that are involved in an SAP S/4HANA ConversionHANA Database SizingCapacity Planning and/or Workload AnalysisExpertise in any of the downtime minimization tools and technologies like downtime-optimized Conversion (doC) to SAP S/4HANA, Zero Downtime Option (ZDO) of Software Update Manager, near-Zero Downtime Maintenance (nZDM) for ABAP/Java of Software Update Manager, System Migrations and Unicode Conversions using Software Provisioning Manager (SWPM) or Software Update Manager and Near-Zero Downtime Technology (NZDT)Experience and knowledge over Near-Zero Downtime Technology (NZDT) methodology or project experience is an added advantageKnowledge over the concepts Software Change Management and CI/CD using gCTS is an advantageThe candidate should possess the following:Proficient in meeting/workshop/training facilitationExceptional written and oral communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with changing prioritiesThrive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cross-culturallyStrong collaborative and problem resolution skills with good leadership, diplomacy, decision making and analytical skillsBe a roll-up-your-sleeves contributor and able to quickly adapt concepts and deliverables in a fast-paced environmentCustomer-oriented with a strong focus on details and being organizedAbility to coordinate global teams and multiple organizations in support of a common goalStrong writing, decision making, communication, leadership, and meeting facilitation skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to earn trust and respect from colleagues and upper managementDemonstrated ability to take initiative, lead by example, and achieve extraordinary resultsAbout the TeamThe Premium Hub Center of Expertise (CoE) is a division of SAP Adoption Services Center (ASC) delivery unit in the Customer Success board area. Our mission is to deliver world-class engineering services to strategically support SAPs premium customers. As a CoE engineer, you will provide the finest service to SAPs largest customers operating on the most complex SAP landscapes.The CoE Senior Technology Consultant is a challenging role that requires passionate individuals with the strongest technical expertise and excellent analytical and communication skills. In this role, you will be tasked with planning, architecting, prototyping, and safeguarding our customers SAP solutions. You will provide essential services and mission-critical support to help SAP customers realize their digital transformation agenda and ensure business continuity during solution implementations.
