Manager, Distribution

The Manager, Global Distribution is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the procedures and operations for the assigned departments within the Distribution Center.Manages team members including Supervisor, Team Leads, Lead Clerks, Clerks, and temporary personnelManages directly and/or through subordinates all activities associated with providing customer order service from order through deliveryResponsible for recommending annual objectives and profit planResponsible for planning inventory levels on a product-by-product basis that ensures proper customer service levels while optimizing economical transportation methodsMakes recommendations and as appropriate, implements improvements in policies and procedures for handling, packaging, and warehousing and keeps abreast of new equipment and technological developments in areas associated with operations being directedAssures that necessary maintenance is performed on the warehouse, storage equipment, material handling equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment associated with the operationsEstablishes and maintains working relationships with key personnel and communicates with internal and external clients as neededAdministers company safety program and takes timely corrective action to prevent injury and destruction of company propertyEnsures timely and efficient performance regarding ordering, receipt, and storage of shipping supplies and finished goodsEnforces policies and procedures that ensure absolute control of released-unreleased finished goods at all timesResponsible for accountability, receipt, storage, and physical distribution of finished goods shippedAssist other teams in completing special projects, or time-sensitive tasks as neededPerform all other functions as required.

Job SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reportsStrong computer skills required; Working knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management system preferredExcellent interpersonal communication skills requiredExcellent project management skills and experience managing large projects requiredMust be able to prioritize workAbility to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job dutiesExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to multitaskMust be able to work accurately and safely under pressureOvertime and weekend hours may be requiredTravel domestic#LI-MARCHONCompensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.
