If the role interests you and you would like to be considered we encourage you to apply!We are looking for an ultra-talented Creative Leader to serve as the ultimate "Brand Steward" for our iconic brands. This person will oversee a wide range of advertising and creative projects - from concept creation to completion - working closely with a multitude of internal and external agency partners, and the Business Units.This person will be responsible for making sure we are expressing our creative according to the brands' exact positioning and guidelines, including language, copy, voice and tone, logo usage, color usage, typography usage, and imagery usage. Wherever the brand manifests itself, the Director, Creative & Brand Strategy needs to be able to consult and guide the work from a creative perspective including packaging, secondary, POP, signage, printed collateral, advertising, social, digital, and owned communication channels.Key Responsibilities:
Set the creative bar (we like it high) for the brand and deliver great work that works.Oversee creative strategy and development of all marketing communications assets, ensuring messaging consistency across all touchpoints and with brand objectives. Includes traditional and non-traditional advertising mediums, packaging, in-store and retail design.Directly impact business outcomes by influencing how ad campaigns are best deployed and evaluated in each channel.Oversee creative department workflow processes and policies, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.Provide creative support and consultation across the Consumer Experience Organization to ensure consistency and excellence of all initiatives (digital, social, events, PR, etc.).Drive global brand standards where applicable, providing creative guidance and coordination to Business teams, Design partners, and Creative Agencies.Oversee the development of strong creative briefs that leverage deep consumer insights and will inspire the best work from our creative agencies.Partner closely with internal teams (and Brand leadership) to develop and manage the overall timelines for creative execution.Supervise staff in the day-to-day management of agency partners and vendors, overseeing retainer and project budgets, and other commitments.Provide overall mentoring and leadership to an internal team of 18+ individuals, developing personnel to achieve their potential.Requirements:
15+ years of creative brand or agency experience.Experience developing and executing multi-faceted advertising campaigns.Solid knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles and development.Must be an excellent, detail-oriented designer with a passion for typography, layout, color, and pixel-perfect creative execution.Experience leading and managing creative teams.Strong concept and strategy development skills.Expert visual literacy/understanding of typography, illustration, color theory, wire framing, and photo manipulation.Expert verbal communication skills, including ability to speak effectively before fellow VPs or other internal groups.Passion/desire to innovate/push boundaries.The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $152,300.00 - $179,200.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
