is recruiting for the following opportunity:This is a strong IP associate opportunity within a booming practice. The primary focus will pertain to the preparation and prosecution of patents for highly valued patent portfolios, while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, and freedom to operate opinions; portfolio strategy and counseling; due diligence; Patent Trial and Appeal Board issues). This firm has consistently secured high-end work for start-ups and major corporations.Here, your strong scientific and technical background will be fully utilized, as there is an abundance of challenging chemical and biotechnology work. Ideally, you will also have excellent communication skills, such that you can assume increasing client responsibility. This is a very collaborative environment and they attract well-rounded professionals who can be entrusted with increasing client management responsibilities.Patent Attorney Requirements:
Minimum M.S. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering, with a preference for a Ph.D.JD, state bar, USPTO barAt least 2 years of full-time claim drafting experience in chemicals and life sciencesOf Counsel or Partner:
If you have a portable book that makes you partially or fully self-sustaining, this firm provides a very competitive compensation structure, billing inclusive of excellent origination incentives and great flexibility.
