As a successful counsel in this role, your major responsibilities include preparing and negotiating client, vendor, product and other related agreements; providing counsel to business and technology leaders; and liaising with internal stakeholders on the restructuring administration team.At Kroll, your work will help deliver clarity to our clients' most complex restructuring challenges. Provide commercial legal advice and support to the Kroll Restructuring Administration business unit.Consult with business unit stakeholders on client service opportunities, strategic initiatives, and technology projects.Draft, review, and negotiate a range of product and service contracts.Review, update, and create precedent agreements and legal processes as needed and appropriate.Perform legal research in relation to new or newly applicable legislation and on more specific points of law in the region, as needed.Direct and interface with outside counsel as needed.Build strong relationships with the other lawyers on the team, business unit leadership and with regional and global colleagues.Provide training to business colleagues on applicable legal issues.Requirements:
Admitted to practice law in the United States with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.Solid law firm training and in-house experience with a focus on bankruptcy and restructuring.Fluency in contract negotiations, including key terms and risk analysis.Understanding of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process, as well as issues surrounding the retention and payment of estate professionals.Professional, commercial and solution-oriented approach to problem solving and strong collaborative and team ethic is essential.Ability and desire to work both collaboratively and autonomously.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both written and oral, with the ability to write with precision and clarity.Hardworking, with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while continuing to work in an orderly and organized manner.Ability to navigate complex issues and manage risks in an appropriate balance with commercial objectives.Reporting:
This role will report to the head of Legal, Kroll Restructuring Administration (Americas).Office presence:
Hybrid.
