Senior Events Marketing Manager
At Adyen, we are at the forefront of financial technology, driving innovation in payment solutions for businesses globally. We are seeking a data-driven and proactive Senior Events Marketing Manager to build integrated event formats for our Platforms business line. This role will work from our San Francisco or New York City office and report directly to our Digital and Platforms Marketing Team Lead.As a Senior Events Marketing Manager at Adyen, you are pipeline driven and highly adaptable. You will own the strategic vision for event marketing, including planning, executing, and optimizing across a mix of industry events, virtual events, and owned events. You understand that events often involve having multiple contingency plans and embrace the challenge with open arms and a cool head. You'll work closely with our Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing teams to develop and implement strategies that generate sales accepted opportunities.This is a matrixed role collaborating across the US, Canada, and Global Marketing teams. The ideal candidate employs a 360° approach to events ensuring strong stakeholder relationships and seamless coordination to achieve revenue-driven objectives.What you'll do:Strategic Development:
Propose and implement a range of event formats and strategies that drive sales accepted opportunities in collaboration with local and global acquisition marketing teams.Annual Planning:
Research new events and formats while analyzing past performance to contribute to the North America annual marketing plan in collaboration with demand generation, partnerships, product marketing, and PR.Event Management:
Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including goal setting, timelines, budgets, vendor management, and on-site coordination, ensuring all events are executed flawlessly.Integrated Marketing Campaigns:
Develop and execute pre-event, during-event, and post-event marketing campaigns in collaboration with your Marketing counterparts to drive attendance, engagement, and conversion. Leverage various channels such as email, social media, digital ads, and content marketing to effectively promote and capitalize on events.Content & Messaging:
Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling event content, presentations, and promotional materials. Ensure consistent messaging across all event touchpoints that effectively ties into the overarching integrated campaign.Commercial Alignment:
Work closely with commercial teams (Sales, SDR, Account Management, Partnerships) to ensure alignment on event objectives and goals. Provide regular updates throughout the planning and execution phases, and ensure timely lead handoff and follow-up post-event.Reporting & Optimization:
Gather quantitative and qualitative feedback from internal and external stakeholders. Track and report on event performance, including attendee engagement, lead generation, budget, and ROI. Analyze data to continuously improve future events and marketing strategies.Market Insights:
Maintain a curious mindset. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and the actions of our competitors in event marketing, technology, and experiential marketing to continuously elevate our event offerings.Who you are:General Experience:
Minimum 8 years in an events marketing role with a focus on acquiring new customers. B2B marketing experience and comfort with complex buying committees are required.Event Experience:
Proven track record in managing events of various sizes from large-scale events, including trade shows, conferences, and experiential activations, to smaller bespoke experiences.Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of SaaS and/or Payments industries. Proven ability to create enterprise focused event experiences that generate high-quality leads.Technical Skills:
Salesforce and Marketo (or equivalent platforms) required. Experience with Figma, Contentful, Jifflenow, and/or Cvent a plus.Creative & Analytical Mindset:
Balances delivering innovative and engaging event experiences with being data-driven.Strategic & Hands-On:
Balances strategic planning with hands-on execution and optimization.Self-Motivated:
