Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Advisor
This is an onsite position at our customer site: NSWCCD, 9500 Macarthur Blvd, West Bethesda, MD 20817.This is a senior advisor position that supports all RMF activities at the department level of NSWCCD. Supports all RMF activities while following DoD, DON, and Command instructions, policies, and other overarching directives. Support shall be provided directly to the ISSM, DIO, ISSOs, technical program managers and cybersecurity department managers. The position will advise on the development of artifacts to support acquisition and maintenance of Authorization to Operate (ATO), Authorization to Connect (ATC), Interim Authorization to Test (IATT) and related Platform IT cybersecurity authorizations. The position will assist in the development and execution of any required Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) plans. The position will advise on the resolution of issues impacting A&A packages and help ensure that good cybersecurity and vulnerability management practices are developed, implemented, and enforced. The advisor will provide reviews of architecture documentation, security impact analysis, and risk mitigation/acceptance to support RMF for Navy IT authorization.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technical area of study (math, engineering, or science) is required at a minimum, with Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related cyber fields preferred. 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD.Required Qualifications:Must be a US citizen and have an active DoD Secret clearance, at a minimum.Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAM level II.Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience performing cybersecurity A&A within the DoD Risk Management Framework and broader experience working in computer system operations, computer systems development or computer network administration.Must have a working knowledge of relevant DoD cybersecurity instructions and manuals including DoDI 8500.01 and related NIST special publications such as NIST SP 800-82.Must be proficient at communicating verbally and through writing, especially in the role of a mentor and advisor.Must have excellent customer interface skills and demonstrable experience communicating with department level managers, Information System Security Officers and Managers, and system administrators.Desired Qualifications:DoD TS Clearance and 10+ years experience in the above areas.Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
