We provide legal advice and representation to commercial, specialty, professional, and surplus line insurers. Our experience covers the spectrum of insurance products in the market today.
We represent insurers and their insureds, and cedants and their reinsurers in disputes involving high deductibles or self-insured retentions, umbrella and excess liability, and facultative, treaty, and other types of reinsurance.
Our clients rely on us to assist them in drafting endorsements and policy wordings for specialized risks. We work with them to prepare claims handling manuals, review and audit policy and program reserves, and provide guidance to corporations and risk management entities.
In regulatory matters, we coordinate and work with state agencies and insurance departments to ensure compliance with local rules and regulations. We also provide our clients with corporate and licensing advice.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Coverage Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who has a strong interest in insurance coverage litigation, bad faith, reinsurance, coverage, subrogation, and possesses 4-8 years of legal experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex insurance coverage matters, providing legal advice, and representing clients in court. This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience. Experience handling the London insurance market is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing complex insurance policies, identifying coverage issues, and providing legal advice to clients on insurance coverage and policy language.
Handling all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
Representing clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
Conducting legal research and providing legal opinions on insurance coverage matters.
Advising clients on insurance coverage, bad faith, reinsurance, and subrogation issues.
Developing case strategies and advising clients on potential risks and outcomes.
Participating in client meetings, strategy sessions, and negotiations.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance law, regulations, and industry trends.
Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar association.
4-8 years of legal experience, with a focus on insurance coverage litigation, bad faith, reinsurance, coverage, and subrogation.
Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
Exceptional legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
