This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, responsibility for the development of high-quality content for scientific exchange and internal trainings and driving the use of digital tools to enhance content delivery and engagement. You will play a key role in ensuring communication strategies align with Deciphera’s business objectives and regulatory requirements globally.This position will report to the Head of Global Medical Affairs Strategy and Excellence and can be based in our Waltham office or performed remotely within the US.What You’ll Do:Implement the scientific communication strategies and tactics to support the overall Medical Strategy across the Deciphera portfolio.Provide high quality medical and scientific communications content to internal and external stakeholders in various forums (e.g. scientific communication platforms, FAQs/backgrounders, MSL slide sets, advisory boards, trainings, medical booth resources)Ensure medical affairs scientific communications are aligned with cross-functional stakeholders to create consistency in scientific messages and narratives.Drive innovation in global scientific communications through digital transformation initiatives and new media channels.Employ data analytics to track the effectiveness of communication strategies globally and locally, adapting content delivery methods for optimal engagement across regions.Build a framework for the development, maintenance, and deployment of on-going training and materials for Medical Affairs and cross-functional colleagues.Coordinate the review, approval, and other applicable activities related to the development of high-quality medical communications and medical training materials.Provide support to the Medical Material Review function as needed.Manage vendors involved with key projects; manage project timelines and budgets.What You’ll Bring:PharmD/PhD with 2+ years or BSc/MSc in life sciences with 5+ years of experience in medical communications within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly strong formal presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills; possession of strong scientific analytical skills; excellent planning and organizational skills.Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.Strong business acumen, critical thinking, along with technical and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing global and regional priorities with strong attention to detail.Requires flexibility and the ability to adjust work patterns based on departmental needs.Must adhere to Deciphera’s core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.Some travel required, which will include overnight and weekends on occasion.Deciphera offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes but is not limited to the following:Non-accrual paid time offSummer vacation bonusGlobal, company-wide summer and winter shutdownsAn annual lifestyle allowanceMonthly cell phone stipendInternal rewards and recognition programMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchLife and Supplemental life insurance for familyShort and Long Term Disability insuranceHealth savings account with company contributionFlexible spending account for either health care and/or dependent care.Family planning benefitGenerous parental leaveEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY INFORMATIONDeciphera is committed to equal employment opportunity and values diversity.
