Overview:
The Cybersecurity Engineer I is a Consultant role. We are seeking a candidate who has in-depth knowledge computer networking, computing, and cybersecurity.
The Cybersecurity Engineering Consultant Level I will be trained to independently perform the following:Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within our cloud infrastructure.Analyze and interpret security logs and alerts.Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.Implement security controls and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention solutions, to safeguard our environment.Perform security reviews and audits of cloud service providers to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with client development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure secure coding practices.Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies through continuous research and professional development.Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and training initiatives within the organization.Qualifications:
A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a relevant STEM field.Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, particularly in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and best practices, including cloud security architecture, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with integrating security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Knowledge of security regulations and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.Relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus.Benefits:
