Administrative Assistant - Region 22 Emergency Management (Part-Time)
The Administrative Assistant provides support to the Emergency Management Director and the municipalities within the Region. This part-time position is directly supervised by the Emergency Management Director.
Responsibilities and duties.
Perform administrative and office support, field telephone calls, assist visitors, scanning, filing, maintain and update training records, etc. Maintain general office files, reference materials, account records, personnel records, and other records; make travel and meeting arrangements; record and transcribe minutes for various associations and committees, assist in preparing departmental budget; monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget and grant management. Bookkeeping for special projects, grants and/or disaster relief reimbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable. Coordination of disaster preparedness activities.
Must be able to react quickly and calmly, communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, monitor data, and have the ability to multitask. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, be coachable and have the ability to work nontender office hours (evening meetings and trainings). Possibility of 24-hour call out in the event of an emergency.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and possession of a valid Nebraska drivers license. Must pass background check.
This position qualifies for Veterans Preference.
